16NLz - I hate my line here but how could've we played?

Blinds: $0.08/$0.16 (6 Players) BN: $27.69
SB: $15.12
BB: $16.48 (Hero)
UTG: $18.24
MP: $19.65
CO: $16.08
Preflop ($0.24) Hero is BB with A A
2 folds, CO raises to $0.40, BN calls $0.40, SB folds, Hero raises to $1.76, CO folds, BN calls $1.36
Flop ($4.00) 7 J 6
Hero bets $1.30, BN calls $1.30
Turn ($6.60) 7 J 6 9
Hero checks, BN bets $3.15, Hero raises to $13.42 and is all in, BN calls $10.27

454 hands on 17/11 villain 12% CC
15% BU CO
40% fold to 3b
Kinda irrelevant stats for 454 but it's some base.

I don't like many rivers to come to just call ott, and I don't wanna lots of X back otr and give him the opportunity to reach his equity.
I don't know if a 1/3 CB is efficient in this kind of board.
Which boards (which positions) are cool for 1/3 CB?

Usually the 1/3 bet size is best on dry boards as they are difficult for opponents to play the required defence ranges or when they do they fold the turn too much instead. However can t hate it here for sure but I d size it up based on the hand I have and the texture of this board. 50ish% prolly.

OTT c/r with AA will likely be part of a balanced strat at some frequency but obv thats not required in this situation. 17/11 suggests villains terrible and on the passive side. Clearly this is a lot better vs aggro villains who ll bet/make a mistake vs us more often and also when the river comes gross bluff us off at a decent frequency that we ll lose a fair amount of ev. Vs this guy who really is likely to play str8 forward just bet and shove good rivers. Keep it simple vs terrible players like this who make our life easy and don t force us to play the complex mixed strategies.

I don't mind checking AhAx OTT against more aggro players but I'd use it as a call down and not to XR. With J9, 97, T8 and 99 improving OTT it's a little thin/doesn't accomplish a lot. Hands like KK and QQ benefit more form getting it in OTT even though they'll have less than 50% equity when called.

I prefer to just bet AA here and shove river like WM2K recommends.

Do we really see a tight passive villain calling a hand like 97 or T8? seems a little optimistic to me, given the stakes...Maybe if the player was a little looser i could see it

I don't know but the squeeze was pretty small so he certainly have the odds to call them. I'd also call those hands against a 11bb squeeze.

This villain is probably more weighted towards PPs and suited BWs OTT, and J76t 9o is a very good board for that range. Tons of sets and strong draws.

I think the small sizing on this board is a mistake, we've got Ah which removes a ton of his FD combos and the Jh OTF removes some more. 7h removes his 78s & 76s so he's only left with KQhh, KThh, QThh and 89hh and maybe K9hh Q9hh(but unlikely) as his CC is pretty high, will depend on how many % he 3bets.

So basically no FDs that are going to raise you OTF so I'm fan of a larger sizing, I think WM2K covered it all :)

In my opinion the squeeze size preflop is a little too small (only 11bb against 2.5 open) for being out of position and you're giving all suited broad ways, suited connectors and pocket pairs the correct prize to call. I'd use something between 13bb and 15bb in this spot and you can go even larger when both players are 100bb like here.
