I think this is a fairly interesting hand both pre and flop. This is party, which I've only played 15-20k hands on in the last month or so, but I should have fairly active image (28/23/10 mostly trying some new things.) The opener is a decent aggro reg whom I've battled with on multiple occasions and the 3bettor is a 25/20/6 reg (10% 3b CO) over 300 hands. I knew villain had 4b/folded vs me but had no other notes on him.

This is a farily awkward spot to flat the 3b being OOP with an extremely polarized range and deep stacks. I'm fairly certain that vs these two people, I probably don't have a cold calling range (even if we're all at 100bbs). I think c4b/f is the best option especially with no history of villain 5b bluffing. I should probably make it slightly bigger pre...25 gives him a slightly worse price.

I feel like his range for 3b can contain a pretty wide range (most offsuit broadways, JJ+, and high suited cons etc) and that he can continue with most of this range in position vs this 4b- though I think he'll fold the bottom of his range and hands that don't play well in spot such as T9o or KJo (assuming he has those).

I think checking could be okay here as we're going to check-call down as this is a pretty decent flop for our hand and allows him to bluff off if he wants. But if we do bet should we be looking to 2 or 3 street here?

I'm interested to here thoughts on pre and flop... Also it doesn't show up but I led for $18 on flop and he raised to $38 so there's that.

Flatting 4bets on a spot like this more than often are slow plays. So, I would rule out anything than don`t have JJ`s crushed. Unless he is comfortable playing IP against you specifically and your 4bet % is out of line, he will turn over AA, KK most of the time. I think AA would 5bet small being that deep with you, so KK are the most likely holding from my point of view.

I don't think when a villain flats a 4bet IP 160bb deep he has more slow plays then not.(100bb is more likely.) I think he will call this 4bet with something like 99-QQ / TJs+. I also think most villains wil just 5b/c KK preflop most of the time scared of the Axx flop and don't know what to do. AA is more likely slowplaying.

I would probably also underbet the flop hoping villain will spew off and do something crazy with his draw . overcards etc. So now way I'm folding now when villain raises you. Call flopraise and ch/jam turn imo.

Don't like checking because you don't know if villain is gonna spew off 160bb deep with a bluff or valuebetting worse hand then yours. So when you chose to check it's a guessing game. I mean, in my experience, it's more likely villains will spew when you're underbetting then when you check. They will often check down with AQ/AK or bet flop/turn ch river with a other weak hand.

I feel like your analysis is correct given that you guys are semi deep. His flatting range is definitely going to be wider. I prefer to be on the aggressive end and cbet this flop so his range is more face up, but a x/c is fine too as long as you think hes not going to barrel you a ton.

What did you do when villain raised the flop?

It is a situation where without info it is probably a fold. I would just make a note about it.
Against his range you are crushed. He doesn't raise/fold there JJ so you end up vs range consist of 99,TT, T9s,QQ+. Even if he has sth like QJs or sth like 78 his range overall is stronger that you betting range and 160bb eff even in 4bet pot he jut might float draws hoping to take the pot from you on later streets.
