1/3 live, odd flop all in
Actually a 1/2/3 game which plays a little big, closer to a typical 2/5 game.
V1 is laggy gambol, shown down a couple bizarro hands like 48o etc. Was chip leader when I got to the table an hour prior. He is BB. $700 stack.
V2 is unknown new player, seems like a reg, lost an all-in vs me an orbit ago. $400 stack, MP
Hero probably has a tight image, low vpip. Maybe folds too much, $750 stack, BTN
Live $6. Calls around, Hero raises 54o to $25. V1 and V2 call.
Pot $90. Flop 542hhx. V1 checks, V2 checks, hero bets $75. V1 calls. V2 raises to $175. Hero calls. V1 raises all-in, V2 snap calls. Pot is like $1200, I have $625 left.
Hero...?
My thought process:
- these two have stupid wide ranges, esp on a live 6
- check raise at 1/2/3 is nutted so much
- not so keen to play for stacks against mr laggy and not get paid from the short stack - makes the call a little less than 2:1 for me
What I didn't think about in the moment:
- I block 55 & 44

Hero has tight image, folds too much and ISO btn with 54o? Something's afoot here. Fold pre.
def folding preflop. On the flop, I think we can get away from our hand. I expect alot of A3 combinations here and basically no bluffs. Also think your raise size is too small.
in my 1/3 game with a $5 straddle, I typically auto make it $20 and add an additional $5 for each limper. This has seemed to work pretty well for me and is what most regs in my game implement. From later position will 3x it sometimes, specifically if I'm in the CO with a button straddle and everyone else has folded
Very easy flop fold as played. Agree you should be folding pre. FWIW I personally think that the same iso with 54s is fine this deep assuming villains will make plenty of postflop mistakes.
If we give both villains the below range (the suited combos are Hearts only -e.g. all nut flush draws + KQhh + 67,78hh), we have 27% equity. This is not the worst-case or the best-case scenario (I gave them both 88,99 just to make the spot not the worst case) and we have to fold. I think giving them both 88-99 is generous here and they probably have an even stronger range than that:
