$1/$3 Live - How to play a set when turn brings one to a straight

Hero begins hand with $400, main V covers. V is a moderate-ish reg for these stakes; pretty loose preflop. Hero is mid-20s, tight-ish image.

V posts $6 straddle. Folded to BTN who calls $6. Hero has JJ in SB and raises to $28. BB folds, V in straddle calls, BTN folds.

Flop ($65) - AKJr
Hero bets $35, V calls.

Turn ($135) - Qr
Hero checks, V bets $110, Hero folds.

I'm not sure how to play this turn OOP with >100bb to start the hand. I frequently make these folds and think it might be a quite serious leak in my game, trying to always play exploitative at these stakes and potentially giving villains too much credit. Thoughts?

Oh straddled pot with only 100BB means a bloated pot to start with that plays differently.
First off all would raise flop bigger it is likely that your opponent has something on the flop so just let him pay to see another card.
As the villain straddled he likes to gamble (is aggressive) would be my opinion so I would bet out on the turn and if he goes allin would call off due to effective stacks.
As played would call the turn and also a river bet that might follow you have besides a decent change that villain is trying to get you off a hand also 10 outs to beat a straight meaning that his bluffing % just needs ~ 15%

Block bet flop for $16. Your range has a ton of equity and you should be using block bets to realize equity with weaker hands. It will also make opponent have a much more difficult strategy to play against you as he should be raising you frequently when you use small sized bets. After block betting flop and getting called villain is likely to have much more Tx in his range relative to the amount of Tx in your range. Therefore, Check and Call is the play. This hand blocks his most frequent Tx combos [JT] so I would not be insanely shocked to see a solver use this hand [JJ] as a merged jam on the turn. Though call is for sure not going to be a mistake so I would always take that line.

As played with large size on flop and check on turn, call is the only option. You are getting almost immediate odds to continue witha set if he has a straight. Many times he does not have a straight and therefore you should be able to immediately call profitably.
