1/2 NL Live AK on dry board 175BB deep
Posting this one cause I hate these spots and not sure how to balance/adjust properly.
I was in CO with $700+, vill was BB w/ $350ish.
Table was mostly passive, but Villian had 3bet me 3-4 times in the last hour (no one else at table 3bet in the same timeframe), so I thought he may raise light, or play on the aggressive side. And he seemed to be in a fair share of pots, def not a nit.
My Cards: AcKc
Pre - folded to me in CO, I raised to $6, he called, rest folded
FLOP: As 9c 3h
he checks, I bet $10, he c/r to $45, I call (?)
TURN: Ad
he leads for $90, I call (?)
RIVER: 4h
he shoves for remaining $210 or so, I call (?)
He showed 99.
Sometimes I check the flop, sometimes bet. The flop c/r had warning bells going off, but thought AK is too strong to just fold on Axx to a c/r. Trying not to be results oriented. What are your thoughts on each street?

Vs a balanced online reg it's a crying call I think.
Vs a live guy have no idea. I might find a fold OTR. Angrily fold is more correct.
Given that the flop is so dry, this looks so value heavy (A9,A3,99,33).
Still. If he's kind of fishy, he might do this with AQ.
i had a similar hand when i fold TT in 378 rainbo, he check raise me big on the flop y fold in the flop and he shows JJ when he call me oop , just calling.
The thing is, i will say 70% of the time when they raise on the flop, they have a monster, with top pair i dont think they do that.
I maybe play the hand like you, but before i read he has 99, im saying in my head he has a set, the way you describe.
I think you gotta find a crying fold otr as sad as it sounds. This is too dry of a board to play games. He either has total bluff or a good value hand almost always.
