OTF your hand would play very well as a 3-bet. This way your range stays somewhat uncapped to the possible sets and 2 pairs you could have. Flatting opens you up for getting 3-bet by the EP player which would not be fun. As played, turn size should probably be big enough to make a hand like QTcc indifferent. I would say around $2.1-$2.4. OTR, an exlpitative fold should be fine.

Why we should be bothered by being uncapped when we play against weaker players ? For me it's like pumping up the pot with weak draw vs 2 players who will rarely fold on this wet board.

I do not buy this mentality. There are several reasons we should be raising;

  • Keep all strong hands in your range.
  • Produce Fold Equity starting now. Weak players are capable of folding. You just have to be willing to pick the right bluffs and bomb the right runouts.
  • Allows us to control the pot size how we want. If we raise now we choose when to realize equity OTT by checking back or when to bomb the turn (eg. when we pick up a diamond or a Ten.)
  • Realize equity. Same reason you should use small bets OTF against recs. They don't fight back often enough allowing for us to check-back whatever turns we want and realize too much equity at too cheap of a price.

Calling is "okay" but raising is either "okay" or "better-than-okay" without any information about the players. Therefore we should always take the "better-than-okay" line and raise OTF with this combo.
