10NL Zoom SB v BB pre-flop
No need for hand history. No stats because my HUD doesn't deal with Zoom.
SB makes it 3x, I make it 9x from BB, SB then shoves AI. In a vacuum what hands should I call with?
My thoughts are AKo, AKs, TT+. Should I be tighter or slightly wider?
Thanks

I think this will depend a lot on what kind of hands villain does this with.
I put this into crEV, and say he will shove on you BvB w/ TT+, AK (i.e.) your calling range, then you will only have a +EV call w/ QQ+. But say he has some bluffs, when he takes this action, then you will be indifferent between folding and calling w/ TT if he e.g. also does this w/ all combos of A2o,A3o. The tree looks like this:
And our EV of calling can be seen here:
So we can see that at a ratio of 46:24 ("value":"bluff") you can call that range w/ TT breaking even. I didn't include this but you would also have an EV=0.18BB for calling AQs. So, in my opinion this will be influenced a lot by how often you think he will shove something spazzy.
Very interesting - thanks very much for that
