Hi guys,

Had a weird spot here where I got min-raised on the flop holding an overpair.
Three questions:
1) What's our decision here?

2) IF our decision is to call and re-evaluate turn, then are we folding to a double barrel? If so, then we are basically calling the raise in the hopes of villain checking to showdown, right? i.e.That's the thing about calling flop raises and re-evaluating turn that I don't fully understand - are we just putting ourselves in a position where we always fold to another bet unimproved?
So essentially when we call the flop, are we hoping to call X to win a pot of Y with Probability[Villian does not bet again in the hand]? Since the raise looks so strong that we definitely can't call any future streets right? This seems uncomfortable to me, anyone have any advice?

3) Does our decision change if this pot was heads up instead of multiway? i.e. Hero (UTG) vs Villain (CO)

Thanks!

Do you have any info where this guy is from?
If he is brazilian you'd have a got point to ship over his raise.

Vs a normal guy though you need to consider that this was a 4 way multiway pot so he was raising when he had 3 people to act behind him.
His hand looks super nutted like T8s and I would fold immediately to his flopraise.
He may also have a set that he is raising so small but even then you can't call :) ...

Calling to re evaluate would be very stupid here because since villain showed strength vs 3 people he is likely to continue his aggression and yeah we would have to fold vs a normalsize turnbet on almost every card so we are essentially burning money with calling flop and re evaluating turn.

However if this was a heads-up pot this would be a completely different story and I would certainly not fold on the flop. HU calling and re-evaluating the turn seems like a good line facing this kind of action =).

I hope I injected some logic =)
have fun!

Seems a fish player with fishy raising size for this spot.
I've seem fishes doing this with random/drawing/nutted hands. You have good odds, call and evaluate turn. Maybe he is trying to see a cheap turn river. I believe that twopairs and sets would make a bigger raise. Nut hands can min raise aswell but I don't believe he has 1 gapper hands from COvUTG open.
