Reasoning for overbet turn?

As played, my ideal self is shutting down the river; my crazy actual self shoves and lose though XD.

When he chk-calls this flop his hand mostly looks like single pair hand....when i overbet turn...it is such s shitty spot for him..where my range is uncapped..& his range looks capped..& his hand cannot face the heat on later streets.

Yeah, in my experience people that call the turn overbet are not folding the river. They're either trapping, or bluffcatching and made their mind that you were bluffing (so they call river).

Which is why I'm saying to shut down, or to overbet again river. But you'll probably need to overbet huge, such as shoving ; if you're very confident in your live skills (controlling yourself when you're in this type of stressful situation with total air), go for it. If you're not, it quickly becomes a huge spew to bet anything on the river IMO.

If he doesn't show weakness on the turn, why not just check the turn and try to hit a free five ball. If he checks the river to you then maybe he's got Ace high and you can make a judgment call about trying to bluff him or value bet if you hit a pair.

You could play 56 or 54 that way suited that way... or pocket 5s
