100NL KQo co vs HJ 4bb rfi

Just joined the table, don't have any history with villain, but have him tagged as slightly aggro based on his sizings, very tiny sample.

LJ folds
HJ ($105) ooens $4
Hero co ($100) KQo?
Btn ($70) loose passive fish
Sb unknown
BB Tag in tight side.

Here I went with a fold given larger open, but some what standard size for this player. Calling and also 3 betting to $12 crossed my mind, but went with 0 EV decision. Also I don't think this player will fold to 3 bet.

The bigger they open the less often we want to defend. And when we do defend we prefer a 3-bet. I would go with 3-bet or fold in these positions. So creating a lineair 3-bet range. KQo can be used but might be wide against a HJ. If he's not folding against it, ever, then this could be considered a valuehand though. HJ would then continue with hands we dominate and we have position.

But folding this is fine.

3b or fold for me, I don't mind either, whereas AQo and KQs are clear 3b. If we call we can easily end up playing 4way, or worse we get squeezed out by the blinds.

Personally I wouldn't have a calling range at all here.

I agree... and even a 3bet might be called by loose fish on the button, which will invite the blinds to get involved. KQo is always a fold for me in this spot.
I think my calling range here is ATs :D
