100NL hand reviews with video
A few losing hands from my 100nl session today, any feedback/thoughts would be appreciated thanks !!!!!!
Hand 1
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EP7HVAYOr1U
Preflop: Not sure if we should just 5bet jam and hope we are up against QQ or AK,or can we just fold pre as im not sure QQ/AK ever 4bets BB 3bets at these stakes? As played i decided to call and reevaluate flop, but looking back i feel like jam/fold would be better because we want to realise our equity if we are up against QQ.
Postflop: We just stack off hoping we are up against the same hand, which we aren't lol
Hand 2
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MIGsyUZz8qo
Preflop: Squeeze and get called by villain who flatted the original raise. Not exactly sure what sort of range this villain will hold but assuming something like 44-99 maybe even TT, pairs trying to set mine? Then possibly some suited broadways too.
Postflop: I cbet 1/4 as my range is more nutted than his on this board, i can have top, middle set, top top, i dont think villain has QT in his range so i would say i have the nut advantage and also the nut gutshot/BDFD, my bet is trying to fold out hands like 44-88 if villain even has those hands in their range.
When villain calls flop i assume their range consists of top pair+gutshot, middle pair+gutshot/TT, 99. On the turn i check trying to showdown but i cant see any hands in villains range that i would be beating now and fold to the turn bet.
Hand 3
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Aq33Q__zTIA
Preflop: Raise over several limpers, the original limper calls so im assuming their range looks something like 22-77, low-mid suited connectors/low to mid suited gappers.
Flop: I cbet 1/3 as my range has all the overpairs and villains doesn't, their range probably has more 8x than ours so now looking back can we ever check to induce a bet from 77-33 trying to protect their hand if we have 2 overcards? Or should we just bet targeting 77-33 hoping they can hero call on multiple streets?
Turn: We size up on the turn targeting 33's 55-77. We bet this size hoping villain will hero call with those holdings putting us on unpaired overcards like AsXs that could take this line. Villain raises and we call. In the moment we called thinking villain may have turned a combo draw like 56ss, 67ss that floated flop, but now looking back thats only 2 combos of bluffs where villain can have multiple 8x combos and also 44 that turned a full house, as hands like 33, 55-77 are most likely going to bluff catch instead of jam.
Hand 4
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gx6oHjbhBNQ
Preflop: We 4bet the SB 3bet, not sure if i should be 4betting AKs 100% in these positions or if i should have a low frequency flat, but in this case i 4bet.
Flop: I cbet 1/4, my range has overpairs, top and middle set sometimes, also top top and my specific hand has the nut gutshot and two overs. I range villain in this hand to have TT-QQ maybe KK and AA sometimes, KQs, AQs, AKs. Now looking back I feel like the only better hand that i would get to fold here is TT or the same hand as mine, maybe i should just check back the flop. Not too sure.
Turn: After getting called on the flop and the turn bringing our hand no additional equity we check back as i think villain always has a pair or JJ/QQ that is planning to check jam turn if we continue with AA/KK.
River: The Q reduces the combos of AQ/QQ/KQs in villains range but they still have JJ, we fold river as i cant see any hands that we can beat, and if we raise bluff i dont think it makes sense and i dont think villain has any hands that fold.
Hand 5
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GDiUaC5b9vE
Preflop: We raise over one limper assuming their range is low pairs/low suited connectors/low suited gappers.
Flop: We flop the NFD and gutshot, the board is better for our range than the limpers so we cbet 1/3 targeting low pocket pairs with a heart that may float or low suited connectors with hearts, 8x, even Jxhh that we would be targeting for value with our value part of range. We get raised by the limper which they probably shouldn't be doing as this board doesn't give them the nut/range advantage. So at the time i was thinking they may be doing this with a low FD like 56hh/67hh, so i just decided to call knowing that if the heart hits i could stack them. Not sure if this is a mistake and i should 3bet flop and just try get it in as we have so much equity.
Turn: We pair our Q so i check call turn thinking im still ahead if villain is bluffing with a hand like 56hh.
River: Villain checks back with K8 which wasn't a hand i put in their range.
Hand 6
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qL3qJW8N3hQ
Preflop: We defend vs SB 3bet, not sure if i should be 4betting this hand as some frequency or not.
Flop: Villain checks which i think is strange as they can have all the sets/straight and 2 pair combos. I check back thinking it could be some sort of trap, my hand doesn't need protection and because if we get c/raised we are in a weird situation.
Turn:Villain leads half pot i just call not sure what to think of this.
River: BDFD completes and villain leads $1, usually when i see this its because they are scared of facing a large river bet but sometimes its a trap to get you to raise. I just called hoping to beat some sort of middle pair that villain took this line with.
I find it hard to assign villains a range when they're limp/calling, if anyone has any thoughts/experience with this and has been in similar spots any advice would be appreciated!
Also if anyone can see any leaks in my game from these hands and has any advice on what i should be working on that would be much appreciated too!! Thanks in advance.
