Sizing is probably wrong here. How much should I raise in this spot as standard? I opt to 3bet since I think villain is opening pretty wide from the button.

I can either shove the rest in or check fold. At this point, I think villain probably isn't going anywhere and I should probably just give up as the 8 doesn't really change anything and if villain called on the turn he will likely call on the river.
How would you guys play river or feel free to critique other parts of the hand I messed up~

With your preflop 3 bet you give villain better than 2 to 1 to peel. So as you said I recon the sizing should be upwards of 9 since your oop.
On the turn you could check jam and rep some over pairs and if he checks back you get a free river.
As per the 3 barrel you can jam the river depending on villains tendancy to let go of top pair. I think he can show up a lot with qj kj aj j10 and mayne some stubborn 10s or something similar. He'd probably raise turn with sets since the board texture changes so jamming river in my opinion wont be terrible.

You 3bet a little on the smaller side like ELOH3 pointed out.
Personally feel i can profitably call 9Ts in this spot, so i will and strat 3betting T8s maybe (just sligtly not callable vs 3 perhaps)
Anyway flop turn seem good, now i think you can jam as his range is probably still quite wide. 9Tdd is probably good candidate for it.
So basically what you are saying is you want to take the hands that are slightly worse than the worst hands you can profitably call and 3bet as a bluff to balance out the time you 3bet for value in this spot with big pairs, AK, etc? This makes sense. As for the river, what type of hands do you see him folding that called flop and turn?

Yeah, don`t like the 3b as well, and definitely make it larger oop.
As played i think we have to shove the river with pretty much the bottom of our range, but not to happy about it because we block some 99 TT combos which means he gets to the river with a stronger range more often and 8 pairing on the river is not a great card to continue bluffing as well.Not sure, maybe giving up might be correct.
I don`t like x/shoving the turn because this is not the flop which we expect villain to float much so we rarely shove better for protection.
While this river is essentially a blank providing we have a reasonable range for betting turn I think it's a good spot to shove with essentially the bottom of our range.
yeah like everyone else has said 3 bet bigger pre, id make it either 10 or 11bb as a default here.
Your hand here is pretty much the bottom of your range that gets to the river like this, but it kinda sucks that it blocks some hands wed hope he can find folds with (TT/99, JTs). Given villain is unknown I'm not really too worried about what this says for my river shoves in the future in similar spots and I just play this hand for max EV in a vacuum and so I prolly just check here because I dont think he has enough folds
