WSOPC- $365 Run- Hand #3
See hand #1 post for tourney details.
Level: 2500/5000-500 ante. Here we are in the money with 21 left (36 paid).
Loose/aggro opener UTG opens to 12k, stack over 200k.
Notes on villain. I've played with him for about 3 levels now. About 30 years old. This guy has been way out of line with his opens. Opens wide/light from early position often. Been caught bluffing several times, showed down light opens several times. Folded to 3-bets several times. Always claims to have had something decent (agonizes and says he folded JJ or AJ etc.). He's generally been getting away with his aggressive pre-flop strategy (leading up to the bubble, and the field is soft overall).
Folds to me in CO and I have A10 offsuit and 110k stack (22bbs). I elected to jam here as a steal.
My thoughts- I feel he's folding to this shove a high percentage of the time and my stack increases ~23k. Button behind me has me covered with about 175k, Sb is short with about 15bbs and is a nit. BB has 25bbs or so and is also a nit. I don't feel I can 3-bet/fold off of this stack size and I also don't feel A10 is strong enough to flat the open with my stack. My image is TAG. I open shoved a few orbits ago from Button with KQ off and ~12bbs and Sb reshoved AJ and I got there to double.
I wrote this hand down because I felt it was a close spot and that I may get different answers. I think folding is ok and is probably the best choice since I have plenty of stack utility left with 22bbs.
