This is completely awful play from me and whatever I do next time it's not what I did. However I want some advice on lines for next time something similar happens.

14 left in 180 4.50 sng on pokerstars.

I'm in bb with 20bb and guy on the button with 40bb raises. I call in big blind with 109 suited flop comes 783 rainbow. I check with the intention of raising get in if so. However the guy checks back and the turn comes a Q he bets half pot. Right then I didn't know whether to just fold but I called. river was a 7. Me being an idiot decided to shove into the guy. he tank called with kq.

Now obviously my play is bad but what are you guys thinking. That was a classic case of me trying to outplay my opponents to much for no reason.
