Note: This is my first post ever, and I'm just writing my thoughts about the hand. Feel free to comment on anything.

Also, I'm a PLO cash game player, so this might just be a standard hand for the tourney pros out here.

Villain is playing 14/12, over a sample of 146 hands. It seems he's been opening more from early and mid pos. than late pos, but not sure if it's part of his general strategy or he just had bad hands in late pos.

We don't have any dynamics, and haven't played a lot of hands vs each other. He seems like a really solid TAG, haven't shown any bluffs, but hasn't really shown down a lot of hands in general.

The table is playing quite tight at this point as we're deep in the money (i think we were about 120 players left, min cash was $12,6K for 243rd place). Avg stack is about 360K at this point.

My thoughts on the hand:

Preflop: He opens a tight range UTG, but I think AJ is def call here as the players behind me haven't been squeezing much, and the dynamics at the table were pretty tight as mentioned. Would you ever consider 3-betting this hand sometimes, just to make the hand easier to play since we hold the A blocker? I just called wanting to keep in a KJs/QJs type hand (assuming he does have those hands in his UTG range), and fine with playing this hand multi ways if the blinds come along. shaniac (SB) likes to see flops btw. We have a tight image, have 3-bet some EP openers but not this particular opponent.

Thoughts on my preflop play?

Other than bluffs (KQ, KJ, Ax etc) what hands would you 3-bet this guys' utg opening range with? Without any dynamics, do you even have to have a 3-betting range in this spot?

Flop + turn: It seems our flop + turn play is pretty standard, anyone would have played those streets differently?

River: Since this a locked down board (only fl draw missed) would he ever 3-barrel bluff here? And what hands is he betting for value? Is he betting AT here, if so how can I call with worse. I flatted his UTG open, so my preflop range is also quite strong. How do you think my perceived range looks like? I'm not calling the turn w/many fl draws, so my weakest holdings are 88-JJ. My perceived range should be capped here, since I didn't 3-bet I won't show up w/AK here that often. So I just think my hand is pretty face up right here, AJ or AQ, and I don't expect him to try and bluff me on that hand.

With all that being said we are at the top of our range here, should that just be the main issue this hand and just auto call? If i fold I still have a 25BB stack, if I call and lose i have 12BB stack - should that weigh in on my decision or just play the hand in a vacuum?

Feel free to post any comments about the hand, thx!
