hoping y'all can help me out w/ a general question.
i think conventional wisdom is that to generate additional fold equity/remove some premiums from our opponent's range, we want to be holding an ace when, say, 3betting a wide opener as a bluff.
it occurs to me that unblocking the A could be better than blocking it to generate immediate fold equity. for every AK/AA type hand we remove w/ the ace blocker, we block more of his weaker Ax hands that would likely fold to our bluff.
so my question is whether unblocking the ace actually increases our immediate FE against villains looking to open most Ax, but not play super tough w/ them when faced w/ a 3b.
thanks in advance.
