Tanking and Etiquette
Allow me to describe a recently encountered situation:
CO - a very solid (tight?) older gentleman - opens 2.5x in the WSOPE €550 Octoberfest. We have AQss and 10bb, both blinds cover us.
We are definitely moving all in and given villains opening range and our image will be called upwards of 80% of the time.
There are 102 players left in the tournament (according to the tournament clock)
At 99 players there is a pay jump from €1552 to €1697
Given that it's optimal in terms of $EV to tank until the pay jump - How long should you actually tank?
Which if any of - the buy-in, the make-up of the table, your net worth, your experience as a pro - do you let affect your decision?
