If I am going to choose AK combos to bluff catch river the ones without a heart should have a higher EV than the ones with.
u can and prob should cbet ~1/3 pot with (close to) 100% range here on this texture...u have a pretty sizable range adv + its good to protect ur hand and deny equity. As played calling turn is prob fine but riv is a fold imo. Despite the fact that there are quite a few unsuited bluff combos, MTT players tend to have it here almost always when they overbet, so there is no need to bluffcatch with this combo. If u want to hero Ax, A5 and A4 w no hearts are much better bluffcatchers if u really think his 2 barrel bluff-frequency is going to be that high. U will see bluffs in this spot but very few will use this sizing...
Cbet flop with small sizing and high frequency has a higher EV than this check-call mode imo. River is a def. a fold vs population.
i actually don hate this call.
Blocking AhXh isn't rly that relevant, even though AhXh are being bluffed OTT a decent % of the time, a lot of ppl (at a 1k online mtt level) would give up riv w AhXh coz those hands block your auto-folding hands, but bluff with stuffs like 89 85 T8 without heart. so bluff catching w stuffs like 88 99 55 just sucks. u probably cbet most of ur jack, u probably never hv a 7. AK blocks A7 K7 that may lead turn for thin value n bombs river, and also blocks KJ AJ. i sigh call. but ya i don think u should theoretically call with this hand all the time. maybe piosolve this spot
