Hey guys, was hoping to get your thoughts on this hand. This may look a bit spewy and i guess it could be with icm considerations. Oh this was the final table btw. My thought process was as follows. The guy on the button i only have 145 hands on but he has been opening 61% from button and seems fairly active and competent. SB is a weekend reg and pretty lag, he also has a considerably higher 3b% from sb than any other pos. What do we think here guys, i reckon i have tons of fold equity here especially as we are all evenish in chips plus the stats i just described. However is it woth my tournament life for the 80k out in the middle??

I don't really know if you have equity or not, of course you have equity over BB but if SB stats weren't like 3bet >20% and F3bet 80% I find it difficult to even find any Fequity. Maybe if you were super nit and had like A blocker in your hand I may find it more acceptable however.
Tournaments are different however and worth your life so I don't like the play but can understand your thought process but you are never ahead and you basically your only profit is SB folding which is never enough IMO

If everybody folds you to go 385k stack which against this stack size setup won't change much. If you cold 4bet to 90k-95k he has a decision to jam or fold. Will he ever, given ICM, be bluffing much over the optimal frequency on this spot ? I really doubt it.

When he covers you I don't think this is a great spot. If the stack setup was different, when you cover him and there is a bunch of short stacks this could be a good candidate to put pressure on him.
