QQ on wsop colossus event

QQ on wsop colossus event

recently i play at wsop colossus event, i had problem with this hand

i got QQ squeeze at SB with 100bb on level 1(25/50). the young player(this guy can make a 2 barrel with nothing before ) raise from mp and call my squeeze.
flop come 456r(2 player), i bet 500, he raise 1250 , i go all in 5000 .(i put him on 77 to JJ,67)

my question is 1) will the guy willing to go bust on first level with small pair?
2) will you play this hand the same way at any level?
3) will you guy fold this hand?
4) if villian just call on flop, will you guy just bet flop , bet turn, and check river because don't want to go broke on my hand?

1) Yes, small buy-in, multi flights = fire many bullets.
2) No, tournament life is everything. ICM and bubble dynamics dictate plays deep in tourneys.
3) Yes, live reads + gut = fold. I'd reduce variance by pot controlling especially since no antes involved.
4) Too hard to say wo more info but it's a reasonable line. This early in tourney I'd consider c/c all the way down if board bricks and strongly consider fold to AI. Tourney life is everything and much better spots will be found.

  1. If re-entry -- definitely stacking off w pair or good draw.
  2. Maybe. If the opponent is a massive station and can't fold overpairs or draws - I'll take this line. Against most good players, will pot control.
  3. No.
  4. I'm playing for stacks in general if board bricks out as it's 100BB turbo -- and we'll get short very soon unless we chip up significantly.
