QQ on A high board

Blinds: t60/t120 (9 Players) BN: 10,754

BB: 2,940
UTG: 2,665 (Hero)
UTG+1: 2,908
MP: 3,375
MP+1: 5,676
MP+2: 4,636
CO: 4,158
Preflop (180) Hero is UTG with Q Q
Hero raises to 240, UTG+1 folds, MP calls 240, 3 folds, BN calls 240, 2 folds
Flop (1,035) 7 3 A
Hero checks, MP checks, BN bets 480, Hero calls 480, MP folds
Turn (1,995) 7 3 A T
Hero checks, BN bets 840, Hero folds
Final Pot BN wins 1,995

Should I cbet on this way ahead/way behind kind of dry flop?

Check calling flop, check folding turn...is this too passive?

I think you should always Cbet this flop, except maybe in some cases when you have some reads on your opponent and want to be more creative like check/shove. But here, you opened from UTG, so your range has a lot of Ax hand (mostly AK,AQ and some AJ,AT). By Cbetting, you can easily win that pot w/o more actions by seeing a fold and maybe some weaker aces can find a fold too(A5s for example).

By not Cbetting, you almost saying "I'm giving up, I didnt hit, free chips" and it's really hard for you to call on the flop, because you probably doesn't have the best hand anymore, you are OP and you gave up the agression factor by checking. And if you call... what do you expect to do on turn and river if your opponent barrel?

So, on an Axx flop, UTG in 3way Pot, even if you totally missed the flop. I think you are representing such a strong hand that you have to cbet and try to win the Pot on the flop. If you get called, then you could c/f turn or try a 2nd barrel.

In this exact hand, if, for some reasons, you decide to check the flop, I would c/f in this exact spot. I dont think the BN will ever fold an Ace giving your stack size and the Pot odds on the turn.

Hope it helps!

This board rarely checks around. So either we check/call and check/fold the turn or cbet and check/fold the turn. Regardless we still lose one bet here, but I would much rather have the aggression on the flop. 1) We could have our bet get through 2) We DO get called by worse sometimes (TT, 87s) 3) There is a chance that after our cbet, the turn checks around.
