QQ how to play
i had 1500 chips my 4th hand i get QQ. Blinds are 30/60
I raise to 120 from under the gun. 4 people fold the BB calls.
flop is something like 42T
I check, So does opponent.
turn is a 7. I bet halfpot (120) just hoping he has something.
he calls and river is a king. the pot is 540 and i bet 320. he raised all in and I called. He had two pair with k10
I guess I should've bet folded on the river or check called. Other than that are there any other things I could've done? Maybe bet on the flop and increased bet size preflop and on the turn?

To balance my semi-bluffs (I'm not going air bluffing on this stage of the tournament), I prefer to bet QQ for protection OTF, considering that I'm going to get at least one street from 99-55 and make a small bet OTT to make some weak pairs continue (99-88) and to protect my equity. OTR your hand plays better as a x/c than a bet/c since he has very, very few bluffs on his range and he probably won't go nuts on this stage of the tournament.
thanks
;)
Bet the flop. Low stakes players will call CB with tons on the flop plus he has a some tens there. Bet the turn. Bet/fold river. (You can't x/c in position.) Or if you've bet the other streets possibly check behind, you can't afford to bet/fold the pot's too big.
thanks I like that advice, I would prefer bet/fold than check behind just cause its a low stakes tournament, want to take risk. oh yeah I can't x/c in position that's how bad I am at poker I don't think of obvious things like that lol when I look back logically it makes sense to bet and then slow down on the river but I tried to slow play instead of being aggressive and making better decisions. big pairs often win small pots and lose big ones so I've heard.
theres no way on river to call his raise, what can you beat?
flop and turn good to bet, but river? i would check with position, or like you bet&fold.
Looks like you should be IP here as UTG opener and bb caller, no?
250 in the pot and ~1350 behind on dry board vs fish, when checked to on flop there should be a bet as he's calling you w/ any piece on that board, so extract value, I think a lot of his range will call 80-95 into 250 to make a 410 pot on turn that you can get over half pot that he may call with a vast majority of his flop calling range that you beat.
Then either thin river value or check behind. That said, as played he is never raising river as a bluff there w/o a lot of history imo....and if he is kudos to him, he's a sicko.
