Pokerstars Regular / daily big MTT Tourney's 10 minute levels EARLY STAGE STRATEGY
Hi Guys
Im new to this forum just wanted to get some advice / feedback re the above. I have had some positive results low stakes MTT turbo games but where I seem to struggle is in the 3k starting stack 10 min levels in the early stages, are these tourneys really deep enough in the early stages to play quite speculative?? you only start with 150BB but I think im playing too many speculative hands early stages, yes I do sometimes get paid off and enter the mid stages with a healthy stack, but in the long run I think im bleeding chips too early and then end up rtying to play catch up in mid stages.
Ive found that I actually play better when I late reg into these types of tourneys when average stacks are around 25-30 bigs deep as I don't have the correct stack to speculate....
I look forward to peoples thoughts / advice on the above topic! Cheers guys

If you are better at short stack play, late reging seems fine and I dont see any problems by doing that.
But if you end up playing from the beginning, I would recommend playing fairly tight and then loose up your game once the antes kick in.
I prefer to just late reg the regular tourneys, because I think the early stages are just not worth my time/attention, especially when Im multitabling. But I choose to play the 6-max tourneys from the beginning, because I think I have a better edge and can exploit my opponents better at 6-max, making it worth my time.
Yeah I completely agree, I think my problem is that I try to play tight but cant help but play speculative in late position by flat calling a lot from mid-late opens. Ive already cut out open min raising EP with A5s, small suited connectors etc. By late reg'in I totally miss all the early stages.
Late reg'ing tournaments is fine and actually really good for your hourly. Cut out opening EP with 'speculative hands' but play your button and co vs opens with a wide range still.
