OOP Postflop 54$ turbo knockout

Hello everyone! :) This is my first post here, so I am not sure if I will put the hand properly but I hope you can see it. I have been subscribing elite membership for a while now but I wasnt active on the forum yet.

There is a hand that I played yesterday in the 54$ turbo ko, fortunately I ended up winning the whole thing but I am not sure what is the best way to play this hand.

Villain has 22BBs and we cover him, I dont know anything about him. So I dont think that this is profitable reshove spot, but the hand is good enough to defend.

Dealt to SmallKindB [8c Qh]

whereisdonny: raises 600 to 1200

SmallKindB: calls 600
* FLOP * [5d Qd 7s]
SmallKindB: checks
whereisdonny: bets 1200
SmallKindB: calls 1200

Flop: standard line is to check, but I didnt really consider leading. Do you like leading in this spot? What would be your plan for later streets?
After my check he bets kinda small. 1200 to the pot of 3320. I am sure what this sizing means. It could be protection bet with 88-JJ. Then I should check raise get it in. Now Im not entirely sure why I just check called, but it cant be that bad. So I check called.

* TURN * [5d Qd 7s] [9d]
SmallKindB: checks
whereisdonny: checks

Turn: Do you like leading here? My plan was to check call again, but that doesnt have to be optimal.

* RIVER * [5d Qd 7s 9d] [3d]
SmallKindB: checks
whereisdonny: bets 3600
SmallKindB: ???

River: As played I feel like we should be calling, but I am not happy about it. Lot of his turn check backs contain one big diamond. On the other hand there should be a lot of air hands that he turns into a bluff on the river...

Here are some of my simple thoughts on the hand. I am not used to really analyse hands in english, so sorry for my language.
Anyway I think this is an interesting hand to discuss and I would appreciate every opinion :) Thank you guys

I like x/c flop and leading turn. If is a nightmare when we get jammed on but in our range distribution there are more flushes than in his and also you improve a bit on equity range vs hand and your hand needs quite a bit of protection on this board. He is probably peeling once 98/96 that he bets the flop and those hands are probably not betting themselves, so leading seems better.

Maybe less since stacks are too shallow. This play is heavy player dependant, if is a bananas guy I just like to keep variance low and x/c turn. His bet is somewhat large (3600/7550) and I don't think to defend that much on the river since I am probably checking most Jd- flushes OTR.

I would play the hand the same way you did. River is player dependent, but my default would be to call. I like the idea of leading the turn and don't do enough of that in my game.

You would bet your 2p+ hands otr and id expect him to double barrel his air type hands putting pressure on your 5x, 7x, so hes rarely bluffing river with this line.

isnt better to have 2pairs, sets and low flushes in the check calling range on the river? its esentially bluff catchers. you are not getting called by worse

Sorry, havent seen there was 4 to a flush, even easier fold now.Youll have a bunch of of flushes so this is the bottom of your range.You should also be checking decent % of your Ax+some Kx flushes to prevent him from auto bluffing the river.
