Low-medium pocket pairs and AX in early and middle position
Hi there!
Lately, I've been wondering what to do with low to middling pocket pairs and AX type hands in early and middle position. I know that they are mostly shoving-material when the effective stack size is around 10BB or lower, but what do you guys do when you have more than 10BB?
I feel like they are too weak to shove, too weak to raise-call and they are hard to play postflop, especially when out of position. I've started folding them lately, but is this the right play, or am I missing value?
I know that it depends on the villains, but I'm kinda new, so I'm having a hard time understanding differing shoving ranges based on stats and such. Also, in low stakes tourneys, people do all kinds of crazy stuff, so it can be kinda confusing sometimes.
Hope someone can help :)
