Late registration

I wonder, how much ROI we lose by not starting the tournament on time. It would be interesting to hear your, guys, approach to late registration. Well, if it's 10 min into the tournament, this is obv not a big deal, but what about 40 min? What if it is a turbo and we are gonna start with a medium stack? We've already lost the opportunity to play deep, thus take advantage of our postflop skill; some percentage of very bad fish is already busted. Is it worth it? Do you have some guidelines or maybe a cutt-off point which define when it is still OK and when it is already NOT OK to register?

Well, the only thing that changes is your playability, if you late reg at 100/200 with a 3k stack, just play your stack then, like all the fases of the tour, just wait for a spot and try to double up.

I would recommend registering as early as possible and would only late-reg if I already have too many tables when the tournament starts. Figuring out a registration cut-off point really depends on how big your edge in the tournament is, so there's no set answer I can give you on that. Personally, I would not have a problem registering any of the larger field turbos ($109s and lower) 40 minutes in, but I doubt anyone is beating the rake in the $215 turbos if they register 40 minutes in.
