Interesting spot
I have come across an interesting spot, that we all have, and would like some input on what you feel I should do in this spot.
Hero SB (stack: 12k) Villain Button (7.5k) Blinds are 150/300
Folds to Villain on Button he raises to 900(large sizing, comparative to other raises).
I'm in SB with AK and make it 1,935 (is sizing okay? generally i 3 bet more but wanted to induce a weak shove) Button calls 3 bet.
Flop comes 952 rainbow. I bet 1525 into button who ships for 5k more.
I call he flips A9 off.
Should I bet that flop with his stack sizing? I say yes normally but would like some input.
IF he had a similar stack with 9k behind after pre flop call would you bet same or would you check flop?
Player has been splashing around calling very light

Don't play Bovada but the small stakes on 888 play similar. Depending on villain we can shove pre and get called by a lot worse.
Also in these tournaments you need to 3B bigger, not smaller to induce a shove, maybe 2750 - so many people are fit or fold and want to see a flop before committing their chips, they are going to take the great price and call - In any smallish MTT that sizing is too small OOP in my opinion.
Thinking about balance, ranges, etc, etc is great but not much of a consideration here - I think the Barry Greenstein quote is "Don't play Beethoven to cows."
Your sizing was too small for a $10rb OOP VS a random donk. I would have made it 2500-2800.
yeah 3 bet to 2500 then you have a psb left to ship on almost all flops
