Exploitative vs balanced against regs
This is something i've been thinking about for some time. Would love to hear some of you're thoughts on this.
Let's assume you're a mid/high stakes MTT reg. Even though it's a large player pool there are gonna be alot of regs and semi-regs that we're gonna build up some history with. I'm woundering how much you're trying to exploit vs staying balanced against them.
Here are some exploitive spot examples:
1. Folded to you in sb w/ 12 bb (BB covers). You minraise fold 34o just coz it looks strong.
2. Small 5bet commit AK repping AK,KK hoping to fold out pockets.
Are this things you like to have in you're "arsenal"? If so, against what type of opponents? (regs, semi-regs,unknowns)
Or do you prefer to play a pretty "straight forward" game in theese spots and make them do "mistakes" against you're overall range?
Also, how do you like other regs/semi-regs to view you? For example: good player, bad, unsure.
