Hi nash. I don't like the way you played this hand for various reasons.
1) I think the Preflop raise is suspect and also the size is too small. This is the kind of hand we want to be checking without EXTREME reads.
2) I think your hand warrants a small flop bet but it's quite thin and I can understand checking.
3) Turn is a clear bet
4) I don't like river call one bit. It's hard to think of enough bluff combos and weak players often have very strong hands when they're blasting huge bets in.
Jae, thanks for the prompt and detailed answer. The tournament structure forces you to be more active and aggressive. I am new to poker and struggling to find the right ballance. With your help now I understand that isolating a weak player OOP with marginal hand (pre-flop mistake) led to a terrible outcome for me.
I like the way you framed that. My coach always says tough decisions come from mechanical errors somewhere earlier in the hand.
I love that!
