Disclaimer: *If I could go back, I would NOT play it the same way. :)
I'm asking for advice on the best way to play this hand in the future.
I Have no reads on Oxota, he joined the table a few hands ago (Btw, congrats on finishing 5th) :)
As Played:
Check/calling: Generally, I think this line is the worst way to play the hand, we narrow our perceived range to Jx+ and we get no more value from 55-88/draws/bluffs. If we take this line, We should be prepared to fold river to the all-in as he's almost never bluffing. As played, I prefer open shoving the turn as we get value from the 55-88 in his range.
Alternative line:
Flop check/raise all-in: This widens our range to include the flush-draws in our range, so we get value from the mid-pairs plus fold out his overcard hands with 15-20% equity.
I look forward to seeing the replies.
If you got this far, thanks a lot!
Regards.

Salute,
I´m on boat with taking the craising line on the turn, on the flop vs two players our hand is not strong enough to do that and we will more often than not be looked up by a better tp or an op as we will be often perceived as having a fd with gutter or oe.
As played I don't know if I can find a fold on the river vs his rip, on my good days :) I´d cry and fold especially with a guy behind you still to act, as villain is repping boats, 67spades or air only.
Hi,
As you said:
So I doubt i get him to fold his pairs on the flop.
We can't take this line and c/r the turn as the hands with which he bets the flop (eg 55-88), check back the turn.
I agree that the river call off is bad. He has close to 0 bluffs there vs 2 perceived fish.
without looking at the comment I would have said with a lead multiway like that it is a set, as played on the river difficult to fold as you commited your stack. The commitment decision is on the turn, so difficult to fold but I guess it is better to get it in on the turn no? or simply fold if I stick to my initial where it was a very strong hand on the flop
This is a pretty tough spot and I'm actually not sure what you are supposed to do on the turn, but your only option on the flop is to x/c. You are not going to get value from my mid pairs on the flop. You are correct that I do not have overpairs but I do have sets as well as better Jx hands. Also, I don't have as much equity as you said with my overcards given you have a Q in your hand - AK is not in my range so all my overcards have at most 3 outs, and the other two you really want me to hit. I do have some flush draws in my range but not enough to make this a shove.
Do you have any bluffs on that board? 5way, if he still has some bluffs over the flop, turn he's never betting them after getting called so his turn betting range should be incredibly strong. It is easy so say from here but seems an easy fold ott when you are only beating JTs from his value range while he has 33-44 and KJs+ with very high frequency and unlikely to have any bluffs over the turn
Try to get to showdown the hand, especially when it hits the second J, the river is easy fold.
i would just c/shuv turn with that SPR. he bets hands like TT/99 sometimes 88 JTs QJs KJs AJ and some FDs. imo not a high five shuv but still better than letting him realize EQ with his FDs.
