Big44 river shove
Q
Big 44, villain agro, fish on blinds
Preflop std.
Flop, would you play differently?
Turn, I block some of his flushdraw and bluffs, but I think I have to call...
River, after his blockbet, I think this is perfect spot to shove and make him fold better pairs. If he plays flush this way, then WP :) what do you think?

I think your mistake was assuming you can make him fold an overpair, especially vs a recreational who will be inconsistent. He might call on the exact same spot you saw hin fold cause he is tilted or bored. Did you have any notes that say he would fold an overpair in such a spot? You hand had great showdown value anyway and you beat some of his 7x that he might be playing that way
The villain is more on the solid, agro side. Maybe I put it poorly it should be:
villain - agro solid
blinds - fish :)
..but I like your thoughts about the recreationals. You are right, that I often find myself making fairly well thought river play like this, only to get snapcalled by overpair or even a 9 or something...
Oh my bad. Yeah I fall into that pitfall again and again, even against regs that just don't know better.
seems fine
In theory MP1 shouldn't be betting much on this flop, specially overpairs since boards hit all vilain's range way more than his. But considering most players at those stakes don't know it and they bet way too much, I like the play.
