bb/100 in MTTs

hi there,

i was wondering if you guys ever look at your bb/100 winrate in MTTs over a large sample, lets say 100k+?

i am curious about this because a lot of people are speculating about ROIs in tournaments, to define a reasonable Markup in the staking market. but even a sample of e.g. 2000 tournamanets wont give an accurate idea of your expected ROI in a similar tournament.

but looking at my recent hands (about 100k+ hands per month) i alawys run around the same winrate in bb/100 (+/- 20%)

anyone got an opinion about it?

I think you'd need a huge sample for this to show anything. First of all, you cannot look at the overall winrate, you have to look at each blind level. You can hardly have the same winrate at 10/20 level as in 1k/2k. Also there are so many factors that can influence it (like your stack, table, # of players at the table, the players, etc.) that I think you'd need at least 100k for each level for this to show anything.

Overall I think it's just much easier to look at the results over a reasonable sample to determine whether or not the person is worth staking.
