AQ out of position - Can I ask about pre & post ?

None: Jon Doe: 0
Only have 6 hands on the preflop isolater - I'm assigning a slightly tighter range as he's isolating a limper

23 hands on the button - bit stationy pre - If I was to 3bet and the raiser called then I'm sure he would call too

Can I start with what I should do pre ? Should I raise ? Should I call ?

Poker Stars, $10 Buy-in (15/30 blinds) No Limit Hold'em Tournament, 8 Players

BTN: 2,335 (77.8 bb)
Hero (SB): 2,680 (89.3 bb)
BB: 6,173 (205.8 bb)
UTG+2: 2,705 (90.2 bb)
MP1: 5,815 (193.8 bb)
MP2: 3,690 (123 bb)
MP3: 6,382 (212.7 bb)
CO: 3,000 (100 bb)

Preflop: Hero is SB with Ace clubs Queen clubs
UTG+2 folds, MP1 calls 30, 2 folds, CO raises to 120, BTN calls 120, Hero ??

With AQs and no reads this early in the game, I prob. just flat and take a flop, knowing that the limper will likely come in as well. I don't want to 3-bet-fold here, or 3 bet and get flatted in a couple spots and have to play OOP in a bloated pot.

but VP/PFR ? after 23 hands you might not have any reads but you might have some clues as to player type?

i would 3B for value in this spot unless i had reason to think BUT's range was very tight. if BUT is decent player he is isolating in this spot with 20%+ of hands and will have a hard time defending vs your 3B effectively with this wide of a range. i don't like the passive line to "flat to keep fish in" in these OOP spots with a hand that is strong enough to value bet

For me it's 50/50 in that sometimes I flat and sometimes I make it like 400 preflop. We will get plenty of flops that we can c-bet - it just sucks being OOP pre-antes the times we whiff the flop, c-bet, and get called or raised because we're essentially crippled.

I definitely play LAG in the early stages but it's almost always IP and small ball type stuff when regs are just hitting the give up button way too fast because they're on autopilot.
