hello.. this spot came up and me and a friend were on a really long debate about this

should i be calling river

its obviously really early on in a turbo tournament ( hot 22) so no reads

he said fold river but call turn and i said call call

i thought if im folding river i should be folding turn..as its obvious hes shoving river and im getting such great odds on the river after calling turn that i dont know how i can call fold

i figured he has a range of AA,JJ,AK rarely AQ or just as much chance as AJ and A10 as he wudnt three bet these pre

i thought as theres more combos for him to have AK as JJ and AA put together then i can call getting 2.75-1 as i only need to be 27% good and im 30% good with that range not to mention the times he might have AQ or spazzing off altho i agree quite rarely

so what is the way forward.. call turn call river.. call turn fold river.. fold turn ?
and what do u think his line is with AQ if he does 3 bet pre

thankyou for any comments i am interested in what anyone has to say

Yeah if you're giving up river, you should give up turn but i think you're rarely good here by then.

Even his weirdly played hands get there.

I would call flop and fold turn as a standard.

Pretty safe fold on the river as played,

"i thought if im folding river i should be folding turn"

Sometimes we should just keep it simple, like the worse hand combos he could be betting on this turn is AQ and i don't even know if he 3bet those OOP pre flop, and AK we're drawing to a chop, and i can't stand a river shove unless i have a sick read we have the same hand.
