Shove pre..but I need to brush up on these spots...might include a min range 3bet with the mid pairs..but prolly to hiogh variance/
Need some stats on MP but unless he is a very TAG player I think I’d shove pre to take the 5.5K dead money. Yeah there is UTG+1 with only 10BB but I’d still take the spot (cEV+ and probably marginaly $EV-)
Very standard. 88 is a terrible bluff catcher.
you have so little ICM pressure being the 2nd shortstack i think we should take this into account considering our options.. you want to take this spots pre if u are going for the win otherwise u will get run over
Hypothetically, we have the same hand (88) with the same stack (20bb), but this time UTG opens and we are in MP. How do we play then? Do we shove, call or fold?
I'm squeezing all in preflop in this spot Ganjabriel. On the flop I think I would go ahead an fold when he C-bets this big into two people on a fairly wet texture like this. I would tend to give him credit in this spot because he choses a half pot sizing, and is betting into two people on a dynamic texture. Secondly you block a lot of the draws, and its especially hard to start bluff catching on the flop when he is going to have two more streets to blast off against our range.
