87s on the bubble with somebody having 1BB!
Hi everybody!
65$ turbo tournament at my local casino
Blinds 12K/6K/2K ante
11 players left, average stack is 10BB on the bubble and someone at the other table has 1BB.
I had 13BB and minraised in the CO with 87s because everyone was waiting for the 1BB guy to bust.
I didn't shipped because three guys with 10-15 BBs were left to act and I didn't liked the idea of risking my tournament life with that 1BB guy still in play.
Big blind (who covers me) calls and we go to the flop which is Th 9h 5...
Big blinds checks. ?????
I tought about shoving the flop, trying to rep an overpair, but finally opted to take the free card with the 1BB guy still in play...
Turn was 3h, the big blind bet and I folded.
Would you have played differently considering the whole situation?
Thanks!

I think open fold > open raise/fold> open push. As deep, at the bubble, I prefer open raise Ax, Kx (hands with blockers on their shoving range). As played, I think check OTF is good because of icm pressure
it's a live mtt, the blinds 3 bet ranges are so tight that not opening is missing out on value. u played the hand fine. details would be better though. what were the pot odds on the turn? flop bet would have been ok in a vacuum also.
I think you played it fine. Definitely opens unless you table is out of line / ICM-blind (which they may be, since it's a $65 live tourney). I would proceed carefully from there. Your line is fine. Don't out level yourself.
