Hi,
Relatively new to poker forums, just wanted to check if this is a standard spot or not.
50 left, no ICM considerations yet, and I am Top 10. Opener has a RFI of around 35% (around 50hands) and the guy who shoves is a reg with a 3B of 4% (around 200 hands). Effective stack is 40bb.
I know it's a shove or fold situation, so, is my fold too nitty here? What do you think?
Thanks in advance for any answers.

What were the blinds?
16k/8k
Still lots of poker left to play. UTG plus 1 is raising well over 10BB from early and when SB over calls it looks very strong . I think your fold is ok if you think they are strong. Not sure 10s are a clear favourite against those ranges. If an A or K had come on the flop you wouldn't question your fold. Yesterday I tried shoving lighter and calling tighter in the late stages and it worked pretty well. I think a call is ok too though
Folding TT is too much. Even 99s I would rejam. Calling is not a option with a hand that has so little board coverage and in textures like T99 you are not getting stacks against AK/AQ.
If SB hadn't shoved over the suspiciously large open I would have shoved
16k/8k nothing suspicious about it
What do you think such a large opening raise means? I wouldn't think AK I would probably think 88 - QQ?
Hi guys, thanks for commenting.
These are normal sizes preflop.Blinds are 8k/16k, UTG1 has 40bb and opens for 2.25bb, the SB 3Bet shoves for 20bb and I have about 60bb and face a decision with TT.
The board is irrelevant, I just wanted to figure this out preflop. I believe I made a mistake and this is a reshove spot given UTG1 stats and SB stack size. In fact, I cant find a stack size for me, given this situation, where I should fold TT.
If you are folding TT to a 3b shove it is 4% of the deck! It is just too much. That are very few spots in MTT that TT is a mandatory fold. This WSOP ME Bruno Foster folded TT to a similar action but was the november nine bubble. In this situation it is a call.
How do you guys feel if we also had a 20bb stack?
After giving this some thought I believe 1010 is anywhere from 44-54% equity against the small blind range. I think given our stack size and the dead money in the pot we should make the shove. There are also times where we get it in against both villains and they have each others outs. However, I might be tigther with a slightly less stack to perserve our tourney life. That may be wrong but I'm curious how others feel about that.
I think that with 20bb, given this situation, this is 100% a shove. Also think that as our stack decreases we should be reshoving wider. Here with 20bb, I would be reshoving 88+, AQo+ and AJs maybe.
