I don't think villain can have many bluffs when he raises OTF: :7x, A3, and XXdd can just call your donk bet. He could raise FD + pair, but then he probably wouldn't second barrel turn since the 5 is a very good card for those hands. I have a hard time finding bluffs that would play this way and you are also blocking 89, so I would fold river. OTT, I have no idea, following my previous reasoning should be a close fold, but it just seems too nitty. Has anyone other ideas?
why you bet flop if this flop is exactly hitting his range? Ax+, 22+ and more....I think that he might have made 2 pairs or found a set on the flop. The best line here is flat call pflop, check call flop, turn and river dependending on the bet size is either call or fold (allin call never).... idk, hard spot.
It is not a hard spot, the problem is that we just mess around with a simple hand, on this hand with 99 you should just call preflop, on the flop there are 2 ways to be playing this hand, you can check-call and revaluete the turn or check-raise flop to see how villian reacts and what he does when you raise and if he has overpair or flush hes just gonna call the flop, because if he 4bet on the flop and you shoved probably all his overpair are behind you cuz youre on the BB and can have set 44-55-66, you have on your range 45ss, 65ss, 64ss and 78o and suited al of those combos are ahead of his range and youre guys playing so deep, if I check call flop and the turn comes 5 I just check call the turn again and see the river and probably fold if he bets so big and if I check raised the flop I probably continue betting on turn if this card doesnt complete a draw or is a dangerous card and see what rivers come and prob check call river. But the problems when we lead the flop with such a nice hand like 99 when we have a ton of value and prob ahead of villian range, we are just gonna be in a bad situation if villian decided to raise the flop, and bet turn and shove river... in this situation we are playing guessi guessi and we are not gonna know where we are in the hand and just make a big pot OOP with a hand that play well as a bluff catcher on that board.
I'm calling pre, Checking calling flop, most likely turn, and river depending on size almost every time
