River 5c

Early in the tournament without notes from villain (supernova reg). My 4b range is AA-KK, AKs and some percent AJo-KQo, A5-A4s. I decide to made this 3 barrel in favor run out but with some dudes in the river cause size don't offer a lot of Fold equity. Thoughts about that. Thanks

Really think u have FE on 3 barrels given action? At this stage, I think u pretty much have to GU earlier. TBH, flop is not great for your range. You'll try to rep the A sure, and u can, but vilain also has a '3b/call' range very Ax heavy ; I'm check/folding the flop, sometimes stabbing later if it goes check-check, but not even so often. Not a great board for you to bluff with relative positions / stacks to start with.
Also, I don't think you really need to take that spot so early in the tourney, vilain's 3b range will usually be strong (described as a supernova reg so...).

That s made sense but here my range have AA-AK for value; and you never bluff here? If hero bluff what part of the range must use? Also why the flop is not great for hero range? Hero represent from early a very narrow range.

I think this is your best bluffing combo and there only 6 of them (KQ with a club). You block ak aq and with a club, u block flushes. You're AA tho are not likely barrelling like this so u only repping AKs, which is 3 combos, and when he has ax, its only 2 combos. You likely need to start out bluffing all 6 combos but 2 combos shud give up on each street generally.
I know ppl say oh its too early to bluff etc, but in terms of balance i think bluffing this hand makes sense

Yes, it makes sense to have bluff combos for sure. But here, we just get snapped always and bust. There is an art in MTTs particularly (i.e. more than for CG) to avoid bad spots and to avoid setups as well. We have to be honest with the situation: vilain is a supernova reg, so probably used to multitabling a bunch and have a routine in-sessions, so in all likelihood he's not having fun speculating a lot in early game when he has 20 tables running. So just for that, I think it's better to simply open/fold KQo here, if we decide to open.

When I say the early game influences the situation, I do not mean one should not bluff at all early game. In some spots you can go bananas, in others, you just can't. IMHO, there are many ways to approach balance in poker, and esp in MTTs. Being balanced can be about having value combos and bluff combos balanced in every hand, it can also be potentially be unbalanced in many spots, but knowing what you do overall.... Personal strategic opinion here obv.

i dont know how good expliotatively a bluff is here, but i do think that if we were gunna bluff river, this is a pretty decent hand to do it

This is just very true. MTT's, specially, has this psychological component (some not only psychological, as icm), where players tend to call or fold in specific situations. There's no PioSolver for this, if you know what I mean. You must be playing an exploitable strategy all the time.

Fold pre. If you do want to start the ball rolling, keep it until the end on most rivers that aren't Q-J/club.

Why club river card is bad for us when we hold good blocker?
I kinda agree w/ 5bet_bluff, we are quite shallow tho thus should adjust freq, but we also win bounty w/ value range.

Fold pre and wait. He's flatting you on the flop and turn to keep your bluffs in. If he's got an ace which is a hell of a lot of the time, it makes no sense for him to raise as it folds out your bluffs. I give this up on the river if I ever got that far
