Villain is 23/18 w 11 3b. 158 hands
His 3b on BTN is quite high w 66% over small sample of 3 hands though.
my standard play here would be just to call the 3bet. But with his high 3bet % from BTN (even with the small sample) I was getting a little fancy here and try to get him to spazz but put myself in a stupid spot. If he would have shoved I would snap as I was inducing him to spazz. But the click back just seems super strong.

3 hands ? It isn't small. This does not give you any information by how he plays the button. All the 2/3 times he 3b the utg/co opener ? I like to defend a lot my btn in mtts and usually have a high 3b% there. 3 hands tells you nothing about it.
40bb deep pre ante I see no reason to got to a preflop war with TTs, specially giving you this amazing price to peel, flop a set and stack him off.
Yeah i think my max 4b gii stack pre ante in this spot would be like 32bb or something close to it..
i agree with Rapha, specially readless and knowing that if u get in tens pre flop there, you're in terrible shape against his value range.
Agree w/ Raphael, also, as far as choosing a hand to 4b/fold here TT is pretty much the worst, b/c we have amazing value from flatting and playing post to his kinda small for 40bb deep 2.5x 3b and TT has no card removal value if we are 4b/folding it, better to do this w/ KQo unless you have a crazy dynamic w/ a guy and youre getting it in against some crazy wide 5b range.
