Hi everyone
First post since a while here & I need your help on this hand plz
We're 18 players left or so in a SH prog KO MTT & if iirc I was 3-4/18 at this time
BN is quite a decent reg according to sharkscope but I just sat at the table & I don't have any stats/read on him
I think my first mistake was to 3b pre but I'd like yours thoughts on the hand
Thx

I cant see any mistake there.
Without any reads on BU I do like the 3bet as well as the size with AJs there.
Checking the F is fine as well and on the T you could imo go either way and bet as you did (I would have liked a bet between 160k-180k but I guess its not big of an difference) or check again and keep the pot small out of position against another big stack with our already good position in the tourney.
As played, on the R your fold is fine as well, your beat there almost ever.
Hello mate,
I like to 3bet pf bc he has some Jxs / Axs that will call and you have range advantage on him, but i would make a bigger size close to 4x, since you oop and he will be flatting a lot here since he has you cover.
On the flop i like to cbet about 1/3 pot bc of the same reasons i said before, he has some worse Jx, some 8x with a gutter and other draws that you can extract value from, i don't mind check on this board but the problem is that by checking you can make him hit his equity for free and pretty much face up your hand, since imo you'll be cbetting AK/AQ/AT/AA/KK/JJ/QQ leaving only Jx to your checking range and you can be exploitable on further streets bc of that. You have to keep in mind that bc you have AJ you can extract from Jx so it's a reasonable bet, it's not like you 3bet J9s and checks for bluffcatching.
As played, since you checked on flop, i prefer to bet a bit bigger, something like 220k~260k so you can extract from the Jx 8x and draws, R as played is fold, his size is trick enough to get a call since you kind of face up that you have a J there.
Regards.
Hey mate,
I agree I should have sized bigger pre, I also agree with what you both said about sizing bigger turn also.
Thx for your answer
