Should I have 3 bet pre flop or bet flop when it came xxx? Given his probable range it seemed like a pretty dry flop and I wanted to give him a chance to c bet. Feel like I should have gotten more out of this hand. Maybe if I 3 bet pre and c bet he would have just folded high cards though

JJ from the SB in a rebuy tournament ? 3b! Turn is a better x/r if you checked flop since it is a card that is better for his range than yours. I like leading flop if call pre (I don't think I ever did that)

How would you react to the same UTG bet in a regular freezeout. Normally I'd make a nitty call, because people play more straightforwardly in a freezeout. Do you think this line is viable, or am I missing out on value?

I think you should just call pre like you did to disguise ur hand and keep him making mistakes postflop because you could 3bet but then he doesn't make as many mistakes post. bet the flop is a good idea, he calls with anything, check the turn as if you're giving up, if he bets check raise, if not then you can bet for value on the river. That is my opinion for how to play it, but I've had more than 15 seconds to think about it lol
