range cbet with show down value
hy guys,
i have the following qurstion if i have a,10 on btn and open and bb calls flop is q,7,2 i start with a range bet because of range advantage. but what if i have 7,8s now do i check behind with sdv? with that particular hand i guess you could argue to bet for protection but you know what i mean right?
regards and thx tom

Hey st4ckem!
Based on what I've learned from the series so far range bet means that you basically do it with most of the range. You have position and range advantage on that kind of a dry board. So if you have 2nd pair as you mentioned you should still make a c-bet. Villain range is capped because he didn't make a 3-bet so you have more nutted hands there. If you check and he has something like KTo you are allowing him to realize his equity - he is having 6 outs so betting should be done here for protection and also value.
Thanks Shifty,
for your input. I thought about it for a while and i think the reason why we also have to range bet 7,8s with the same sizing is that if we start to check show down value then our range with checks becomes very sdv heavy and villian could exploit that, what do you think?

Range Betting means betting your entire range, every single hand.
If you decide to check back some hands in your range, this is not range betting.
Oh... what should you be doing? I am.not good enough at NLH to give out good strategy advice.
