preflop AKK3 vision raises AKK3ss but calls AKK3ds MP vs UTG raise

I was doing some study with vision as MP vs UTG raise. The had given was AKK3. What I found interesting was that vision calls the stronger double suited hands but raises weaker ss or sss hands then calls rainbow hands.

Is this because we are hoping to gain more equity with the ss or sss by gaining fold equity by raising and/or are we hoping to gain more value by keeping more of our opponents hands in play with the stronger hands. I believe vision is based on 500zoom so not totally applicable to micro stakes but I am interested in the thought process.

Sad to see no answer yet after 9 days..
Very interesting question and should not be that hard to answer (for somebody with advanced knowledge)

Hey Balkito
I usually do not try to respond immediately to a strategic question being posted here in the forum, but Im rather hoping that other viewers of this course have their own opinion on the spot at hand which then leads to an interactive discussion here in the forum. I hope the level of interaction in the forum is going to pick up once more people purchase the course :)

Best,
Emty

May be more effective to post visions strategy questions in the PLO forums, not sure how many views from the rest of the community this sub forum gets comparatively

Hi Mikec123

This looks somewhat different for the PLO50 structure:

At PLO50 we have a more aggressive 3Bet strategy because we benefit more from not getting raked if we take it down Preflop whereas calling almost guarantees that we get raked which is much more disadvantageous on PLO50 compared to a PLO500 rake structure.

Therefore, we can do much more flatting at mid/high stakes compared to PLO50.

Doublesuited AKK3 and sinlge-suited to the nutsuit have good playability Postflop, which is why calling is rather preferred. Additionally, if we would 3bet AKK3ds/nutsuit we would have to fold against a 4bet and would give up much equity when being forced to fold these hands.

AKK3 without the nutsuit has worse multiway playability but still has a suit which provides us additional equity when we get to a Flop after having 3Bet, which is why calling seems to be the preferred option.

AKK3 rainbow seems to be simply a setmining hand with just enough EV to be called. You can see in the screenshot that AKK3r is even being fold at PLO50 rake structure MPvsEP
