EP22: KJd
In the episode there was first KxJd on J82dd44 runout, asking if it's a bluffcatcher or not. Later it doesn't containt a diamond but is confused with containing the Kd.
My question would be this: Is having the Jd a relevant blocker to his bluffs? I would estimate it isn't a negative blocker as it seems unlikely for BB to be betting JXdd as a polarizing bluff. So KxJd is the same as KJo with no diamond bluffcatcher wise?

Hi lIlCitanul,
Pete explains that In the first example the last hand [KcJd] should be KcJh as in the 3rd slide. He goes on to say that if we did have KcJd it would be a fold.
No actually he sais if it was KdJh it would be close doesn't he?
I know the example was wrong. I was wondering if having the Jd is considered a negative blocker, which seems unlikely as having Jd isn't really blocking bluffs as it would be weird for the polarized strategy to turn top pair into a bluff.
Working ATM so I don't have time to go review the bit from the video therefore I am grunching a bit here.
The Jd in our hand doesn't just eliminate 1 diamond from the possibility of a missed diamond draw bluffing here, but it also eliminates all of the XdJd combos that would have been part of Villain's preflop range. So assuming a situation where we are getting called by JdTd but not Jd9d (this is arbitrary but helps with the illustration here) then the Jd in our hand removes AdJd, KdJd, QdJd, and JdTd from the suited diamond combos Villain would have called with but not 3-bet preflop. This is a non-trivial chunk of possible diamond draws knocked out of Villain's range so I can see how us holding the Jd can make it less likely that Villain has a busted diamond draw that he is bluffing.
Jd is top pair. Therefor it can't be a bluff blocker.
