Hi guys, I’m Florin 30yo from Romania and nowadays I play 100-200nl

Poker has been a passion of mine for as long as I can remember, started by going to a homegame and winning a SNG with Q5o vs AJ

Been playing poker for the last 12-13 years but only started to take it more seriously at 24

The highest stakes I’ve played was 5/10/20 straddle on PokerMaster in 2018 and after the games got colluded, was forced to drop down to 100nl.

After the games on China apps started going south, I was so frustrated and burned out about the game and the situation I found myself. Was just so close to shot taking 10/20/40 straddle and my winrate went from 16bb to 1bb.
2019 was a hard year, took a break from the game because there was no longer a fire within me. There was just frustration and agony and of course some sign of burn out.I party a lot , travel to Prague, London and had some amazing experiences.The only thing that bothers me is that I’ve spent all my savings and was so close to being broke and finding a real job.

Mid of 2019 went on a stake/backing deal and basically went from 50nl to 100nl (2019-2020 frame) without too much notable results.It was average, could barrely make a living but poker was still the game I loved and continued to do it.

The beginning of 2020 was very difficult to say the least.Was backed for 50nl, slowly grinding and taking some shots at 100nl. It was going slow in the right direction until corona games.At first, games we’re amazing and ran pretty good.April was up 2k , but in May lost 3k ( 30-40 bi dowswing).It was not the first time that this happened to me, but this time was very different. Was playing 100nl and had to drop down to 40nl, sometimes even dropping down to 20nl… that was so heartbreaking.It was so hard in the psychological aspect, almost quit and go get a real job.I did manage to recover and can say that my mindset has improved tremendously ( shout out joey diaz lol ). Was so over the whole GTO and solvers, always studying and wasting a lot of time in GTO+. While I did learn how to play some spots, it was very difficult for me to implement in game and it took a tool on my hours played and volume.
Always second guessing myself , always asking : wich bet size is best here? how much percentage should I raise here? tbh got pretty frustrated about this whole gto noise. Always aimed to play short sessions (1h;30 max) because was so burned out and drained of energy.
