why is it important to have a plan in poker
i read that poker without a plan is bad poker
but i nomally don't plan in future street.
i only think what i face
for example i don't have plan turn and river situation in the flop.
(ex. i will call the turn. but if he bet river, i will fold)
or i don't think that "i will 3bet but fold to 4 bet"
why is it important to have a plan in poker?

It helps you to make good decisions. After a while you will start to have an idea of what your opponents range is and what cards are good for you on the turn or what hits his range harder. Poker is much easier when you have a plan for the rest of the hand and you will get better results when you are decisive when you play. The plan can be flexible and change depending on what your opponent does or what cards come
I also have the same thought process as take what comes but as I'm starting to implement at least one street ahead thought process it is extremely helpful.
One of the most important things on having a plan is that you can change it and you know why you are changing your strategy. Is much easier (and quicker) to change a bit your strategy in game than build one.
Good points. Do you guys review any stuff before a big MTT? Notes etc? Curious on how the best MTTers in the poker community prepare for a big tourney.
far from being on the 'best mtters' here but on sundays I like to go to beach in the morning, read something non poker related. I usually go to the gym then have lunch (low glycemic index carbs are good for long days) and sit to play (maybe warm up a bit on sng hypers). but sundays are specials :D. in week days just take out the beach part and put some videos/reviews. and also I am not yet a online reg, so can't say much about it
