What should be my plan?
Little backstory:
I started playing a couple of years ago. Just turned 20.
I've made a decent chunk of money and lost it again every time, due to poor bankroll management, running horribly at time, and major tilt issues. Playing up to 600NLHE when I was 17, and continuing to play above my bankroll.
Last time it went wrong, I played 100NL Speed, even though I was not a dog.
Over the years, I've taken small breaks to cool off and learn.
Even signed up through a lot of no deposit bonuses and whatever. Ran some of them up to 1000 bucks, and then lost it again due to tilt issues, running badly and having to play nitty because I was playing 10 buy ins max.
I still live with my parents and because I lost the money I won and spent a huge amount of time playing, I said I wouldn't start using ''my own'' money to begin again, and avoid a downward spiral.
So I've taken the last 6 months off poker. Learned a lot (thanks to this site and coaching videos). I feel really good about my game right now, and I also feel like I've changed my mindset, and my tilt control will be much better.
I really love the game and I really want to get better and eventually make a carreer out of it. I know I can, as long as I keep working/studying hard and make good adjustments. Don't care about money at all, as long as I can live off it.
Every time I feel good, I run my bankroll up pretty easily, without running good. Just need to be in a good state of mind.
So what should be my plan? If I deposit a smaller amount of money, it will be an insane grind up to a decent bankroll. I plan on pretty much only playing cash games.
Live poker is not an option. Played a couple of tournaments and cash games. The players are horrible, but you just don't get enough hands and they play so terribly that you often don't really know what to do, because they have no clue either.
