W.F. Bankroll Challenge #1
Today I made my initial deposit of $300 on Global Poker. I'm using the poker journal platform to hold myself accountable for the bankroll challenge I'm giving myself, the first of many. My plan is to start with $300 and run it up to $1,500 by the start of June or possibly earlier depending on how things go. I will be giving myself 30 buy in's to start off at the 0.05/0.10 NL cash game stakes and proceed up the latter with proper bankroll management until I reach my goal of $1,500. I will play each day starting today on a part-time schedule ranging to 4 hours per session or depending on how the session goes a little shorter. This challenge may seem small to some, but it will be a good stepping stone for me to teach me discipline and work ethic. Throughout the past I've used aggressive bankroll management only to double or triple up quickly or lose it all quickly. In the end the method never was benefiting to my poker interest. I will do this the right way this time and stick to my word. I'm also gonna try my best to implement a better health regimen and workout routine to benefit my play. Daily exercise will be taken place with a span of 45 minutes to an hour per session and healthier eating will be acquired as well. Thinking about implementing some type of meal prep routine into my schedule. All and all though I will be documenting my journey on this thread. I'm gonna log in my first session today after I get done watching a college basketball game with a few of my friends. When I complete it I will give my first update shortly after. I will do this periodically, not for every session but more like a week span. I wanna thank players on RIO for giving me inspiration and motivation with their challenges and goals to incorporate mine. It's nice to see. Wish me luck :)
