The Grind: PLO from the bottom up
What’s up RIO peeps! I have taken the last year off from poker
and am ready to get back to the grind. As of today I am playing .25/. 50 PLO
(US site, I’m American), but hopefully taking a 10 buy in shot at .50/1 in the
near future (I probably just jinxed that. Cue the 50 BI downswing!). Before the
dreaded “Black Friday” I played quite a few hands at 1/2 PLO, but never really made
a consistent leap to 2/4. I just don’t think I was a good enough player. I was
still able to make a reasonable profit due to rakeback, but I no longer have
that crutch to hold onto. If I want to
make it back to 2/4 and above I REALLY need to step my game up, and that’s what
I’m planning to do. PLO is a silly and vicious beast so this journey might take
a while.
My plan is to post once
or twice a week with my weekly graph and some interesting or big hands that I
play. I’m hoping to play about 30 hours this 2nd week and see how that goes.
Good luck to me, I’ll need it!
Last weeks Graph: Sick volume.
